Saxon Warrior
Saxon Warrior
While cruising from one side of Scotland to the other we went north over the top and were followed then passed by a fleet of Navy Ships. The fleet including ships from the Royal Navy, US, Germany, Norway and Sweden. The big carrier is the George H W Bush. The destroyer Donald Cook, at the request of our captain, did a close pass-by port side, crossed over and passed to starboard. Note the big US flag. Seeing that, brought many a tear to the Americans onboard. The operation was “Saxon Warrior.” Our ship, the Zuiderdam, was no doubt targeting practice for the subs.
