Torsk Volunteer Association
Official Work Summary
September 30 2015

Crew on board: Dave Thames and Rob Howard [HSiB].

Maintenance:
1) Dave continued working on the heating unit in Crew’s Berthing. He determined that it had two bad shorts and burned terminals. Rob H will order a new heater for Dave to install in its place.
2) Dave removed the 20 Watt florescent light in the Forward Engine Room to overhaul. He found a similar, non-functioning light in Dry Stores and will try to combine parts of the two to make one functioning lamp.

Restoration:
3) Dave measured the location of the brackets in Crew’s Berthing that are supposed to hold the medical locker. Rob will make the brackets. The locker currently sits on the deck, which is not correct – or secure.
4) Dave and Rob measured and marked the location of the brackets that are supposed to hold up the two vertical lockers in the Forward Engine Room. Again, Rob will make the brackets.
5) Dave removed the plexiglass placard holding the photographs through TORSK’s periscope of the sinking of the final combatant in WWII from the After Torpedo Room and placed it in Lower Level After Battery.

Total Volunteer hours:
For the week: 5.
For the year: 141.5.
