A news clip about SILVERSIDES:

http://www.wzzm13.com/entertainment/television/programs/the-exchange/uss-silversides-submarine-museum-offers-tours-and-other-programs/329575131

Many of you probably know by now that we have this magnificent World War Two submarine and museum in West Michigan. It's located right on the Muskegon Lake Channel and is just waiting to be toured and enjoyed. But what you may not know is all of the special programming that's offered there. Wes O'Donnell joined us to explain. You can learn more about the USS Silversides and all of the programming offered there at www.silversidesmuseum.org

Last I heard they are still planning to reef her. Nothing new beyond that but I'll do some digging.

Officials say the ship at the Battleship Texas State Historic Site has always taken on water, but due to leaks in the stern of the ship – some 3 feet wide – it is taking on more water and is listing.

JFK watching ANDREW JACKSON fire a A-2 Polaris missile.

Check out old and unfit admirals who think they're in the RN with the hands-in-pockets posture and the nifty deck jacket given to JFK:

On December 7th - the 75th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, NOAA will broadcast, live footage of its dive on the historic Japanese mini subs found off the coast of Hawaii:

"On December 7, 2016, 75 years after the attack on Pearl Harbor, join us for a live dive on two Japanese mini submarines, the first of which was sunk by the USS Ward prior to the attack. This will be the first time the public will be able to view live underwater exploration of the submarines in real time."
