Summary of shipboard & offsite work for the week ending August 7, 2011


Saturday, August 6

Torsk Crew on board: Chief Bill, Chuck, Nat, Jerry, Kevin and Michelle

Nat and Jerry completed greasing the bow planes system. They also did housekeeping throughout the boat.

Chief Bill worked in Radio on the 1MC. He started checking out components in the upper amplifier tray.

Chuck re-secured a loose panel in Maneuvering, as well as replaced the lock wire on one of the controller levers and tightened others as needed. He did maintenance on the Juke Box, and then performed housekeeping in Maneuvering and Crew’s Mess.

Kevin and Michelle worked in the ATR where they stripped paint and polished brass, did housekeeping and polished the forward capstan.

Chief Mike, Dave, Cathy, Frank, Bruce, Gil and Tracey visit John Wynn at his home in Connecticut on Saturday. It was wonderful to see him and his wife Lynn.

Offsite during the Week:

Cathy painted Engine Room Indicator panels.

Gil worked on TVA admin duties
