Summary of shipboard & offsite work for the week ending July 17, 2011

Saturday, July 17

Torsk Crew on board: Chief Bill, Big Al, Dave, Gil, Charlie, Nat, Jerry, Tim and Al F

Big Al relamped the boat. He mounted a new fan in the Control Room.

Chief Bill worked in Radio on the 1MC. He finished replacing the last resistor in the "A" unit and replaced the same resistor in the "b" unit when he found it was loose. He had new resistors and rather re solder the old one, he just replaced it. He looked over both units to see if we missed anything...but it looks like both are ready to go. All we need now is the transformer for the "A" unit.

Nat, Charlie and Jerry continued greasing the bow plane system.

Dave and Earl finished hooking up the pier connection for fresh water. Dave also relamped the boat and did housekeeping.

Tim polished brass in the Engine Rooms.

Gil worked in Archives and helped Dave topside.

Little Al took photos.

Offsite during the Week:

Big Al worked on refinishing the Torsk Nameboard, and started on a new one for the port side.

Gil worked on TVA admin duties

Onsite Volunteer Hours – 60
Offsite Volunteer Hours - 9
Total Week Hours – 69

2011 Year to Date Volunteer Hours – 3124

That’s it for the week.
