Summary of shipboard & offsite work for the week ending July 3, 2011

Saturday, July 2

Torsk Crew on board: Chief Bill, Chief Mike, Dave, Cathy, John B, Kevin, Michelle, Larry S, Matt, Melissa and Jaime

Chief Bill and Chief Mike worked in Radio continuing restoration of the 1MC. They replaced several more resistors in the second signal generator. They would have finished, but we didn’t have any 87K ohm resistors. Bill plans to order more so they can finish up. They still need to find a place that will seal up the leaking filament transformer for the second signal generator.

Dave and Ski relamped the boat. Then they removed the old potable water hose from the pier in preparation for installation of a new hose.

Tracey and Melissa polished brass in the FTR.

Matt removed more valve handles from the ME lube oil system and Chuck cleaned them up. Matt then reinstalled them.

John installed a new fan in Crew’s Mess, and repaired the fan in the Engine Rooms.

Cathy painted the indicator panel covers from the Engine Rooms

Kevin and Michelle cleaned and stripped paint in the ATR.

Little Al took photos in Sonar.

Offsite during the Week:

Cathy painted the indicator panel covers from the Engine Rooms

Gil worked on TVA admin duties
